B.R.A.I.N. hosted its Charity Golf Classic at SeaCliff Country Club in Huntington Beach where golfers enjoyed themselves and were gratified as they were supporting B.R.A.I.N. and its work in Cypress and the Inland Empire. A silent auction was organized by Leslie Herbst of Long Beach. She put together some terrific items that people were thrilled to bid on. Photos from TIME-LIFE and National Geographic Photographer, Wally Pacholka, Angels tickets, Dodgers Tickets, Golf at the Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes and dinner at Spaghettini’s in Seal Beach were just a few of the items that were featured. I thank all of the individuals and businesses who donated to the silent suction and all of the volunteers for the day that made the B.R.A.I.N. Charity Golf Classic a smashing success! We appreciate all of the community sponsors, golf participants, and dinner attendees that came out to support B.R.A.I.N. Thanks too, to Dylan Trumbull for speaking about his brain injury at the dinner. Way to go, Dylan.
The various therapies and classes at B.R.A.I.N. were described as “Life Lines” at our event. The dinner guests were encouraged to purchase Life Lines for $50 a piece. Some survivors come to B.R.A.I.N. 3 times a week where others come 5 times a week. What a joy it was to see so many hands go up to give a Life Line to a brain injury survivor. Scholarships for brain injury rehabilitation is a constant here at B.R.A.I.N.
The B.R.A.I.N. Charity Golf Classic was marked with fun, learning, and inspiration and we look forward to next year’s event, and hope to see you all there to support B.R.A.I.N. and its mission!
